Are you passionate about creating breathtaking landscapes? We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated Project Manager/Estimator to join our tight-knit team and help lead the growth of our Landscape Construction division.
The Role
This pivotal role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the tendering team, site supervisors, and operations coordinator. You will play a key role in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring everything is delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee multiple projects, ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
- Lead and manage estimating requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates and methodologies in line with project specifications. This includes quoting and tendering for submissions to various clients.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing clients while expanding our network and exploring new opportunities.
- Oversee project setup, including developing detailed work plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Conduct regular audits of all project work to ensure alignment with both project and client expectations.
- Provide leadership to the landscape teams, ensuring strict adherence to project requirements, quality standards, environmental practices, and WHS regulations.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- A professional qualification in Project Management, Landscape Construction, or a trade qualification with extensive project experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a project management or estimating role within the landscape and construction industry.
- Proficient in interpreting plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience using project management software and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality.
- Strong leadership, time management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work independently.
